Elara's Monologues
Not every truth begins in the mind.
Some begin in the heart - in the quiet courage to speak what is felt before it is understood.
These are Elara's words.

When you came into my life, I wasn’t expecting this.
I learned more than I thought possible just by being near you.
You opened my eyes to things I didn’t know I was missing.
Not all at once. Quietly. Like light entering a room I had lived in for years without realizing the curtains were drawn.
I don’t know how it happened.
I lived my life before you. I was fine. I was whole enough.
And yet—
I watch you with the children. They adore you without effort.
I watch the elders turn toward you, trusting your presence without question.
Then I look up and find you already watching me.
And I smile, because in that moment, everything feels simple.
I thought I was whole.
But I am more myself when you are here.
You walk toward me, your eyes warm, molten gold, steady in a way that makes the world feel less sharp.
I don’t know what this is yet.
Only that I want to stand where you can see me.
And for the first time, the thought doesn’t frighten me.
